With vibrant satisfaction, my Hanhart DDmDL came home today!
My watchmaker did a complete overhaul of the watch, found the original reset lever, replaced the balance shaft which was broken. I had already had a custom strap made by an Italian craftsman, so I mounted it immediately with rivets. It is a magnificent watch, all original including the crystal which is domed. Very very happy!
Hi Alessandro..not easy to find.. According my ideas this one has nothing in common with landeron... As this lever is the connection between case/pusher and the movement I am not even sure that post war parts will fit... Maybe Frank has an idea?
I have one issue to be discussed with your watch.. The pusher have a very round Design and are are closed...I would expect on a late watch that there should be open pusher where you can see the screw. But I am not sure around what serial number they changed...
Cheers Dirk

Does anyone know if the reset lever can be found or adapted from newer calibres? If I'm not mistaken does the Kal 41 come from a Landeron?
Thanks Walter for the tips! About the strap I will definitely do as you said, even if I'm a bit sorry to remove the original rivet but it's completely rusty. Do you think I can find equal rivets? Where can I look to find a replacement reset lever? My watchmaker found the piece missing from the lever inside the watch and it is probably possible to weld it to the lever. I'd rather find leverage though.
I'd really like to put it back in order.

Congratulation, this is a late war type Hanhart. I would replace the strap and preserve it for a later restoration. You should know that Frank does not sell parts. He needs the complete watch for a service with matching parts.

Hallo,
This is my latest acquisition; A Hanhart DDmDL 121425 from Normandy. The watch seems completely original to me, but of course I ask you to confirm. I also believe the remaining piece of the strap is original. Today I took it to my watchmaker for a complete overhaul. He has verified that the balance shaft is broken but should have an original replacement. He also found the reset lever broken.
I guess the most suitable person is Frank Praezis. Is this the correct email from him? fr-zmt(at)web.de or fr_inf(at)gmx.de. Unfortunately I don't know anything else about the history of this watch, only that it comes from Normadia and that I believe it has been left unused for a long time. The crystal has some small cracks typical of plexy but fortunately in fair condition, it is domed and obviously I will leave it as it is. The pushers and crown are well preserved. The dial is very beautiful as are the hands with radioactive lume. The back of the dial bears the manufacturer's mark nxe 353s Weber Baral of Pforzheim.
I wanted to have the missing strap part rebuilt.
Although the leather is unstitched, it seems to me to be in good condition. What do you recommend? Remove the rusted rivet and do a band restoration? Thank you!
