You do not have to spend a fortune for decent vintage watch. Some brands are underestimated. I have picked this Richard automatic from 1950 on the flea market for the price of one beer. AS cal 1336 ni nice condition, stainless steel case with double lid (screw-down caseback and an additional dust cower). Red second hand, patinated illumination on hour and minute hand. Clean dial. Plexy needs replacement. Otherwise the condition is ok.

Thx. I like it's simplicity. And the precision of the movement. It is an AS 1130. The watch has, at least 60 years. It has not been serviced in last 10 years, while it is in my possession. Probably more. It keeps time within +-10 seconds a day. The AS 1130 is not the most beautiful movement out there, but it certainly does the job.

Thx, it is nicely preserved and looks good. It used to work until a year ago. I should have it repaired but it is waiting for its turn since I have 6 watches in my drawer waiting to be repaired.
However, I am not sure that it was intended for flying. According to Konrad Knirim's book on British military timepeaces (page 758) it used to be attached to a military radio device. So, it could be from an airplane, but does not have to be.

Yes, it regulates the watch, without opening the case. In rather complicated way, though
